About
Who We Are
The Training Grant Support Office at Rutgers Health serves as a central resource dedicated to advancing the success of federally funded and institutionally supported training grants. Training grants provide vital funding that supports the education and professional development of graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and other trainees in the biomedical and health sciences. These grants foster innovative research training environments, strengthen academic programs, and prepare the next generation of scientists and health professionals.
Our office plays a critical role in supporting the Rutgers community throughout the full lifecycle of training grants. We provide comprehensive guidance and assistance in the preparation and management of training grant applications, as well as in the administration and oversight of funded programs. By serving as a hub of expertise, we ensure that faculty and administrators are equipped with the tools, resources, and strategies needed to develop competitive proposals and to maintain programs that meet the highest standards of compliance, accountability, and academic excellence.

The mission of the Training Grant Support Office is to strengthen and sustain a collaborative community of faculty, administrators, and trainees across Rutgers Health. We are committed to delivering comprehensive support throughout the training grant lifecycle, from concept development and proposal preparation to post-award administration and reporting. Our work reduces administrative burden, ensures technical accuracy and compliance, and enables faculty to focus on delivering outstanding training programs that enrich the research and learning environment.
Vision
We envision Rutgers Health as a leader in training grant excellence, where innovative, well-supported programs expand opportunities for trainees and foster a diverse and thriving biomedical research community. Using a federated approach to faculty and trainee data management, we facilitate efficient, accurate, and secure collection, sharing, and distribution of information to meet the evolving needs of training grant administrators and funding agencies. Through these efforts, the Training Grant Support Office seeks to maximize the impact of training programs, advance institutional capacity, and help shape the future of biomedical and health sciences education.
